There’s something special about a Saturday spent supporting local businesses—the kind of day that leaves you feeling full in all the right ways.
This weekend, I had the joy of spending the day at a vendor event surrounded by creativity, faith, and some truly wonderful people. One of the highlights? A spontaneous photo op with the Grinch, who just happened to be driving past us on his fancy Grinch inspired motorcycle. Conveniently, I happened to be sporting a brand-new pink t-shirt I couldn’t resist buying from a lovely woman who creates faith-based merch. It was one of those simple, joy-filled moments that makes you smile long after the day is over.

As I wandered through the booths, I found myself drawn to pieces made with heart and intention. I picked up a beautiful pair of heart earrings and a necklace from a local jewelry maker whose work felt both thoughtful and timeless—pieces that tell a story and support someone’s dream at the same time.
Of course, no vendor event is complete without great food. I stocked up on some killer salsa from a local guy who clearly knows his craft, and I grabbed a blend of award-winning seasoning that I’ll be putting to good use today while making enchiladas. Supporting small businesses somehow makes the meal taste even better.
Another first for me was trying HTeaO, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Texans love their tea, and now I can understand why! I ended up chatting with the owner, learning about the franchise, and walking away with a new appreciation for their story (and a new BFF for life, obviously). It’s amazing how quickly connection happens when people are passionate about what they do.
What made the day even more meaningful was sharing it with Pam, the owner of Salti, and her friend Holly, the owner of Sit and Stay Pet Resort. There’s something powerful about spending time with other business owners who lead with heart, integrity, and community in mind. Conversations flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and it was a reminder of why relationships matter just as much as results.

Days like this are a beautiful reminder that we are truly Better Together! When we support local, build relationships, and take time to enjoy the moment. Sometimes growth doesn’t come from striving or planning, but simply from showing up, connecting, and saying yes to what’s right in front of you.
Here’s to more Saturdays like this—full of faith, friendship, and a little unexpected joy.
